How a round goes

  1. Manga panel: an extreme close-up of a wide, staring eye with the sound effect wa.

This one. He cries in the rain.

    Pick a clip

Choose an anime-style scene. The more dramatic it is, the worse it goes.

  2. Manga panel: a startled young doctor, with balloons announcing who gets the part.

    And the villain is…

    YOU!

    Grab your roles

Hero, villain, narrator, the guy who only screams. Call yours before someone else does.

  3. Manga panel: a young doctor screaming at the top of his lungs.

    My power is… uh…

Original audio: off. Mic: very on.

…and more

The rest live in the game: the real clips are copyrighted and some scenes are 18+, so they can’t go on a public web page.

Why the app?

Before you ask

What does it run on?
Windows. It’s a desktop app, so you install it on your PC.
Is there a Mac version?
Not right now. LIPFLOP is Windows only.
Do I need a mic?
Yes, you’re dubbing with your own voice. Any mic your PC can hear works: a headset, a webcam, the one in your laptop.
Why an app and not a website?
Two reasons. The anime clips are copyrighted, so they can’t go on an open web page. And some scenes are 18+, which doesn’t belong on a public site either. Both stay inside the game.
Is there a phone version?
No. LIPFLOP lives on your computer, so send this page to your PC and grab it there.

It’s your line.

The clip is muted and the mic is on.
